HEATHCOTE library staff are calling on patrons to give reviews on books they love or dislike.

Review slips are available at the library or readers can email their thoughts.

“We are encouraging readers to share their thoughts on books they’ve read, good or bad,” said library assistant Hannah Thomson.

“It’s a great way to start a conversation between patrons who might have had a shared experience. We are looking forward to some interesting conversations between borrowers.”

Reviews on any books are welcome.

“We have displays of book suggestions at the library or people can review something they read in the past,” said Ms Thomson.

“Readers can give share the reasons why they did or didn’t like a particular book or author. We hope the reviews will help others to choose their next books to borrow.

“A review can often encourage others to explore a different genre or try a new author. Borrowers can pick up a review slip at the library and return it next time they come in.”

Heathcote Library is open Tuesday 9am to 12pm, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm, and Saturday 9am to 12pm.
