Say farewell to the old library

LOCALS will have to opportunity to say goodbye to the old library this afternoon with an afternoon tea.

The library is being relocated as part of the Heathcote Community Hub redevelopment.

“We will be hosting an afternoon tea to bid farewell to our much-loved library before we relocate,” said Goldfields Libraries community based services library officer, Russell Easton.

“Join us between 2pm and 3pm to help us celebrate this special occasion.

“We welcome patrons old and new to have a cuppa with us and reminisce.”

The library will be closed for one week, re-opening on 9 September in the Senior Citizen’s Hall at 121 High Street Heathcote.
