A CHURCH at the Brewery event celebrating Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ will be held again at Palling Bros Brewery on 10 December.

The service will begin at 11am in the outdoor area.

“Many people like to attend church but not in a church building,” said Reverend Bron Jones from the Heathcote Community Home Church.

“This is an opportunity to be part of a traditional Christmas church service in an informal setting.

“I will be talking about how Christmas began and the origins of many of our Christmas traditions.

“And we will sing carols. Everyone loves singing carols.”

Church at the Brewery began in 2021 with 50 people attending the Celebrating Christmas event.

“It was great to see so many people, especially those who no longer attend regular church services,” said Reverend Jones’ husband, John Robertson.

“It was well attended again last year and we are hoping lots of people will join us.

“It is a free event and Bron and I will be providing the music to accompany the carols.”

After the service, attendees are invited to stay and have lunch at the brewery.

“It’s always lovely to join with everyone and have lunch and a chat,” said Reverend Jones.

“We are very grateful to Peter Pichut at Palling Bros Brewery, for letting us use the venue. He is always very supportive.”
