Suit up to dance the night away

IT’S time to ditch the cold winter blues and get out your glad rags and dancing shoes for the annual RSL Black Tie Ball.

The Heathcote RSL president and committee are inviting both RSL and community members to book their tickets.

The event will be held on Saturday 8 August at 6pm.

RSL member Lyn Hough said the ball is always popular and attended by locals and visitors from further away.

“It’s a great chance to get dressed up and socialise,” she said.

“Once again, we will have great music featuring the amazing talents of the Australian Army Band Melbourne.

“Attendees can get up and dance or sit back and watch great dancing by others.

“It is a licenced formal event with a delicious three course meal.”

Bookings are essential and tickets are $65 per person.

Heathcote RSL holds a variety of events throughout the year including Anzac and Remembrance Day commemorations, a Cup Day lunch, Australia Day Picnic in the Park, the AFL grand final on the big screen and happy hour on the first and third Friday evenings of the month.
