The Saints and Kookaburras meet in the round four clash on Heathcote's greens at 1.30pm.

HEATHCOTE will take on Strathfieldsaye in Saturday’s division two match in Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields weekend pennant.

Second in the premiership race, Heathcote will be aiming for a fourth consecutive victory.

The Saints won last Saturday’s home game against Harcourt by 28 shots.

Heathcote scored a 97-69 victory.

Highs for Heathcote included the fightback by Maurice Lee’s rink from seven shots down after 11 ends.

Adam Luxford led by seven shots by the 11th end on the way to a 16-shot win.

Brian Berger bowls in Heathcote’s division two win against Harcourt.

 

Chris Morcom won three of the first four ends and led by nine shots after 10 ends.

Bill Gardiner’s rink was level on the 12th,15th, 17th and 19th ends. The Saints won the 20th end, but Harcourt the 21st to complete a 16-all draw.

In division six, Heathcote was beaten by Strathfieldsaye Maroon at Strathfieldsaye by 28 shots.

The second-placed Saints play Woodbury on the Bendigo Clubs greens this Saturday.

In midweek pennant, Heathcote plays at Castlemaine on Monday from 10am.

The Saints won all rinks to score a 21-shot win against Woodbury in last Monday’s play at Heathcote.

A highlight was Cutajar’s rink fighting back after a seven-shot loss on end two and from an eight shot deficit after 15 ends.

Heathcote is fourth in division three.

A field of 19 played social bowls on October 15.

Winners of three games of pairs and triples were Lorraine Speirs (s) and Daniel Fitton, two wins, 34 points, +15 shots.

Runners-up were Chris Morcom (s) and Karen Royal, two wins, 34 points, +10 shots.

The jackpot was won by Dave Thomas and Ilona Hutterer.

Invitation fours tournament, female to skip, will be played on Thursday, November 27 at 10am.
