HEATHCOTE has rolled into a new year on top of the division two ladder in Bendigo Campaspe Goldfields weekend pennant.
Premiers in division three the previous season, Heathcote had put a winning streak of eight matches together before the run was ended in a four-shot loss to Serpentine.

The Saints will resume weekend pennant on 17 January at least one victory clear of their nearest rivals.
Those nearest to Heathcote in the division three premiership race include South Bendigo, Kangaroo Flat and Strathfieldsaye.
The Saints will be on the road to Strathfieldsaye for the round 11 match on 17 January.

Three more rounds will be played leading into the finals where Heathcote faces Kangaroo Flat and Bendigo East in consecutive homes.
In round 14 it will be the Saints against the Diggers on South Bendigo’s greens.
Heathcote faces a fight to qualify for the division six finals in weekend pennant.

After nine rounds the Heathcote lineup had a record of three wins, five defeats and a draw.
On 17 January the Saints will be on home greens to play Woodbury.

Midweek pennant will resume on 19 January where Heathcote is still a serious contender to climb into the top four and play finals.
Heathcote will mark the season’s 12th round by playing at White Hills in a showdown between the Demons and Saints.

A week later and the Saints make their way to Harcourt.

The home-and-away series will be completed on 9 February when Heathcote hosts Bendigo East.
