AT Millicent High School, our motto “Providing Pathways to the Future” reflects our commitment to empowering students to develop a positive mindset and the knowledge, skills, and dispositions needed to thrive as resilient, lifelong learners, confident leaders, and respectful members of the community.

As a small country high school, we are dedicated to offering diverse and meaningful pathways, including employment, vocational education and training, and university study. Students are at the centre of all decision-making, with a wide range of subjects and innovative learning experiences designed to meet individual needs, interests, and aspirations—both within the classroom and the wider community.

We prioritise student wellbeing and value strong partnerships with families. Through open communication and opportunities such as open nights, parent “drop-in” mornings, sporting events, assemblies, and celebrations, we encourage families to play an active role in their child’s learning journey.

Our school is structured across Junior, Middle, and Senior School, with a curriculum spanning Years 7–10 and SACE (Years 11–12). In Years 7–9, there is a strong focus on personalised literacy and numeracy goals, developed collaboratively with students and informed by assessment data. From Years 9–12, students are supported through course counselling to make informed subject choices aligned with future pathways.

We maintain strong partnerships with industry, providing students with real-world learning opportunities, including career connections, work experience, and access to vocational pathways. Students also benefit from STEM opportunities and a range of extracurricular programs throughout their schooling.

We celebrate success in all its forms, whether through university entry, apprenticeships, employment, or SACE completion—and are proud of our students’ achievements and readiness for life beyond school.
