Celebrate Christmas trackside at Glenburnie

The Mount Gambier Racing Club’s Twilight Races on Friday, November 28, provides the perfect platform for a Christmas Show with a difference.

The seven race program runs from 2.30pm-6.30pm with a variety of packages on offer to suit your needs with free buses running from the Globe Hotel.

The starting package for five for only $120 is definitely value for money with a Finn’s Fine Food cocktail platter; entry to the races for five; 10 drink vouchers and two race books.

The downstairs Legends Bar will also offer plenty of entertainment to provide a cool vibe and plenty of refreshments.

The club will also be running a fundraising golf chipping competition to help local trackwork rider Libby Halliday fund her trip to the 2026 Magic Millions Showumping Competition at the twilight meeting.

It has been a busy time for the club with the Jericho Cup Fundraising Meeting on September 21, sponsored by Haymes Paint and Mount Gambier Paint Plus, raising $4200 which has now be handed over to the Mount Gambier Support Group of the Royal Flying Doctor Service.

The club also has its AGM coming up on November 12, where all existing committee members have nominated two more new nominations, meaning if all nominations are accepted, the committee will have a full complement of 12 members.
