Judges announce winning entries
COMMERCIAL Street was alive with colour and excitement on Saturday as thousands of spectators gathered for the 2025 AAM Timber Mount Gambier Christmas Parade, bringing festive cheer to the heart of the city.
Council extends its heartfelt thanks to the community, schools, businesses and volunteers whose creativity and enthusiasm made the event a success.
City of Mount Gambier Community Events Team Leader Xarnia Keding said it was wonderful to see the incredible effort participants put into their entries. The floats looked fantastic and the joy on children’s faces was priceless,”
“The roving Aviators and Whacky Mac added extra fun, engaging with the crowd between floats and keeping the atmosphere lively,” Ms Keding said.
This year’s parade featured 53 entries competing for prizes judged on energy and engagement, creativity and overall effort.
Parade judge Cr Sonya Mezinec said the judging panel was particularly impressed with the vibrant decorations, colour and enthusiasm displayed by participants.
