WATTLE Range Council is gearing up for another action-packed Full Throttle in Wattle program, running from Saturday, December 20, to Sunday, January 26 next year.

The much-loved School Holiday Program will offer a diverse lineup of free, engaging events for school-aged children across the region, ensuring every young person has the chance to spark creativity, build connections, and discover new skills.

This summer’s program includes outdoor adventures, indoor workshops and plenty of water-based fun.

Highlights include hands-on nature experiences with Australian BushBuddies, Rockpool Rambles delivered in partnership with the Nature Glenelg Trust, and interactive marine sessions with OzFish.

The Beachport Golf Club will also host a junior clinic and night golf sessions.

Popular indoor activities return, including Mini Mammoth Games workshops and Wacky Wednesday craft sessions, alongside Lego Clubs, craft tables and the Big Summer Read at the Millicent Library.

Children can cool off with VACSWIM programs, Surf Groms sessions and pool inflatables at Nangwarry and Penola pools and the Millicent Swimming Lake. Families can also enjoy the return of the annual Giant Kites event in Beachport, featuring colourful sky displays and free kite-making workshops for children.

As a bonus, the Beachport Sandcastle and Sand Art Competition will run throughout the holidays.

Wattle Range director of development services Emma Clay said kids can get creative, support local businesses and have the chance to win some great prizes.

“The Full Throttle in Wattle Summer School Holiday Program is a great way for children across our region to enjoy their holidays, try new things, and connect with their community,” Ms Clay said.

“We’re thrilled to bring back so many fan favourites and introduce exciting new activities for families to enjoy.

“We encourage all families to get involved and make the most of this summer’s program.”
