Top dancer returns home
FORMER Hype Dance Studio student Bella Schroder is about to take a major step forward in her performing arts career after being selected as a cast member for ‘Project 30’, the highly regarded professional dance training program at Brent Street in Sydney.
‘Project 30’ is recognised nationally for its intensive training, industry connections, and focus on developing versatile, career-ready performers.
Selection into the program is a highly competitive audition process, with the top 30 selected.
Graduates of the program have secured representation with leading talent agencies, performances in major stage productions, and work across television, film, and commercial dance projects both in Australia and internationally.
Bella’s success reflects years of hard work, commitment, and discipline.
Training with Hype Dance from the age of two she relocated after 12 years with the studio to complete her senior years of high school under the guidance of Dance Force academy in Tweed Heads.
This experience provided intensive training and amazing opportunities to work with industry leading choreographers.
Now studying an Advanced Diploma of Professional Dance at Brent Street Bella said Project 30 was an invaluable experience that’s helping her grow as both a performer and a person.
“Being a part of this inspiring team and learning from some of the world’s best choreographers is just incredible. I cannot wait to perform in our first overseas performance later in the year,” Bella said.
“I’m incredibly grateful for all the training I’ve received and continue to receive and feel I lucky to learn from the best. I continue to be surrounded by supportive mentors, teachers, family, and friends.”
Director of Hype Dance Studio Kim Cella said they were all so proud of everything that Bella had achieved so far.
“It has been an honour to have played such an important role in her dance journey,” Kim said. “Supporting a healthy relationship with dance whilst nurturing her passion and technique development.
“After only a few weeks of solo lessons at the very young age of four, I knew that Bella had an innate ability to remember choreography, apply corrections and perform with confidence.
“Bella’s dedication to developing her own style and versatility while following her own path is a true credit to her as a regional dancer and performing artist.
“Students and staff at Hype Dance Studio look forward to hearing all about this experience when she next visits the Limestone Coast. Bella is a wonderful role model and inspiration for our students and for all local dancers we look forward to following her future in the performing arts industry.”
Bella will be returning to the Limestone Coast this April to host workshops, supporting regional students to learn, connect, and be inspired.
Keep an eye out on the Hype Dance Studio socials for more information – all dancers are welcome.
