Create memorable moments at your next event with Miss FIzz

Casey Hurst of Miss Fizz has been in the hospitality and events industry for more than 15 years and can’t imagine doing anything else.

Miss Fizz was officially launched four years ago, however it was her dream to open a mobile bar many years before that.

“I knew that I wanted to be different and niche and offer an experience that I knew ladies would love,” she said.

“I wanted all-inclusive fun packages to take the stress out of planning events and make it an enjoyable and fun process.

“We held a small private launch party in March 2019 and the first year in business was full of collaborations with local businesses/photo shoots and finding our feet with the few events that we were able to do.

Casey said she was confident going into her second year of business after the amazing business received from clients and community members, but then COVID hit.

“Rather than putting everything on hold, I bought a coffee machine and started serving coffee from the space we had at the time in Portarlington, “I changed up the styling of the Van slightly and created a café vibe and swapped the signage to ‘Miss Buzz’,” she said.

“I also put together grazing boxes and delivered these all across Geelong, Bellarine and Surf Coast.

“I was determined to keep myself busy enough and remain positive in such uncertain times.

“Never did I imagine that it would go on for as long as it did and after having to refund most of my upcoming events – I had to find another job to keep me busy for a year.”

As much as Casey enjoyed being back in a corporate environment, she could not wait to work for herself and be creative again.

“The 9-to-5 grind just wasn’t for me,” Casey said.

“Last year we were finally able to plan events again and I was able to work on my business full time, which was my goal for so long.

“We had a great year and were part of so many amazing events and this year is looking much the same with dates filling up quickly into 2024.

Miss Fizz caters all types of events; Hen’s parties are Casey and the team’s absolute favourite to plan and be a part of and their most popular by far.

The Miss Fizz Recovery Parties have also become popular in the past year, when the coffee machine Casey bought has come in handy.

“I also offer Prosecco Towers, these are having a huge moment right now and some weekends are just
tower set ups which I love,” she said.

“Luckily I have a great support system as I couldn’t do this all on my own. My Family and partner help out a lot and are always in the background doing as much as they can and I have a small team that are awesome and supportive.

“I look forward to continually growing with the business and to get even better.

“I hope to branch out and offer more new and fun additions – watch this space!”
