MORE than 250 people stepped out in colour and style to support Kids+ at its 12th annual Grand Final Eve Luncheon.

The event at The Pier in Geelong on Friday last week raised vital funds to provide paediatric allied health therapy and support services for babies, children and young people with disabilities.

Former AFL player Josh Jenkins and his wife Hannah headlined proceedings by speaking about their involvement with Kids+ after the arrival of premature twin girls.

Live entertainment followed, with Gospel Sundays serenading the crowd and Good Faces 4 Radio filling the dancefloor with party anthems.

A raffle and silent auction rounded out the day, with a weekend in Apollo Bay and a signed Geelong Cats AFLW guernsey high in the bidding.

Kids+ marketing manager Sharon Gibbons said the day was full of plenty of sunshine, laughs and amazing stories.

“A highlight was certainly hearing Hannah and Josh Jenkins speak about their family’s journey from the arrival of premature twin girls to being linked in with Kids+ who continue to support them with a dedicated multi-disciplinary team every week.

“To share such a private story was incredibly generous and we know that it resonated with our audience from the positive feedback we have had.”

She said the continuous support from attendees, sponsors and partners would go a long way in assisting Kids+ with expanding its service provision.

“We had a lot of delighted winners on the day, and our gratitude goes out to local sponsors and supporters including Ray White, Lara, Nat Anderson, local artist, The Australian International Air Show, Australian Skin, Face and Body, NDSP Plan Managers, and Coulter Legal.

“Without their support, it wouldn’t be the much-loved event it has become.”
