Occupation: Sustainable Cafe and Surf hire business Owner and Operator, family man and photographer.

Resides: Lorne and the Surf Coast.

How long have you lived in your ward? Whole life; 44 years, lived in Lorne for 25 years and born and raised around Bellbrae, Torquay, Jan Juc region where my parents still live.

Community involvement: Face to face daily with our community within our business, and volunteer on many committees and active in sporting clubs as well as socially throughout the Surf Coast.

Associated with a political party or movement?

No – Independent as it should be in local government.

Preferencing: All four candidates are great.

Campaign budget? Receiving financial assistance? Self-funded, a lot of physical campaigning and passionate volunteer time from local community.

Three most important issues in your ward:

Sustainability in our communities, business, tourism and environment including the housing crisis and cost of living and the protection of natural landscapes. Encouraging healthy active lifestyles is essential, we need better accessible services. Improved communication and collaboration and outcomes among the various agencies and stakeholders of the region.
