THE Torquay Community Health Centre on the Surf Coast Highway will switch the temporary COVID-19 testing location on site back to clinical services to support the reactivation of its community health services from December 1.

Barwon Health and Australian Clinical Labs have agreed to work together over summer to provide a permanent COVID testing site at Spring Creek Reserve, Torquay.

Barwon Heath says the change is in response to recent changes to how COVID-19 is managed, and in recognition of the Geelong region’s high vaccination rates.

“This is positive news for the community and visitors to our region, who will continue to have easy access to testing.

“We ask the community to continue to remain vigilant and to get tested at the earliest sign of COVID-19 symptoms or following attendance at an exposure site.”
