Applications open for 2025 Pegasus Scholarships.
The Geelong College is inviting applications for its 2025 Pegasus Scholarships, aimed at students with exceptional co-curricular talents entering Years 9, 10, or 11.
These scholarships are designed to nurture leadership and excellence in sports, performing arts, and debating.
The college’s sports program, participating in the renowned APS competition, provides structured support for athletes. Coached by experienced teams, students receive guidance tailored to optimize both individual and team performance. This approach encompasses collaboration with personal coaches, parents, and other stakeholders to maximise student potential.
In performing arts, students have access to dance, drama, and theatre studies up to VCE level, alongside multiple performance opportunities.
These include year-level productions and major musicals at the Geelong Arts Centre. The Performing Arts Centre focuses on cultivating creativity and sensitivity in students, enabling them to excel on stage.
Debating is also a prominent feature of the school’s cocurricular offerings, with teams competing in the DAV competition and various public speaking contests throughout the state.
Students are encouraged to articulate their viewpoints and learn the art of persuasive speech.
This year, through the equity scholarships, the college aims to attract individuals who will contribute significantly to these established programs and benefit from exceptional educational opportunities.
Applications are now open and will close at the beginning of June.
This is an opportunity not to be missed.
