MELI Kindergartens Open Week is the ideal opportunity for families to visit Meli Kindergartens in person, giving parents and carers a valuable chance to see and experience the learning spaces, meet educators and ask questions face-to-face.

Running from 18–22 May, Open Week invites families from Portarlington to Lara, Queenscliff to Colac, and everywhere in between to explore the learning environments that give children the best possible start to their education.

During Open Week, families can tour indoor and outdoor play spaces, meet teachers and educators, learn more about three- and four-year-old kindergarten programs, and find out how to apply for a free kindergarten place.

Meli chief executive Robyn Hayles said Open Week is especially important as significant sector changes continue to roll out under the Victorian government’s Best Start, Best Life early childhood reforms.

“Open Week is the perfect time for families to speak directly with our kindergarten teams, ask questions and understand what these reforms mean for their child’s early learning journey,” she said.

“There is no substitute for seeing a kindergarten in person, meeting the educators and getting a feel for the environment where your child will learn, grow and thrive.”

Meli offers high-quality, inclusive three- and four-year-old kindergarten programs led by qualified educators and teachers using an anti-bias approach that promotes kindness, equity and belonging.

Several Meli Kindergartens have achieved the highest rating under the National Quality Standard (NQS).

In 2026, Meli’s kindergarten network has expanded to 32 services, with Norlane West Kindergarten joining the network and further strengthening access to free, quality early learning across the region.

“As the region’s largest kindergarten provider, we are proud to support families across our growing network,” Hayles said.

“Open Week gives families the chance to explore their options and choose the kindergarten that feels right for them and their child.”

Beyond kindergarten programs, Meli also delivers parenting support groups, preschool readiness programs and the NDIS Early Childhood Approach, making it a leader in integrated early childhood services.
