ARE you a rising star in sport, performing arts, or debating, ready to make your mark?
The Geelong College is offering Pegasus Scholarships for cocurricular excellence to students entering Years 9, 10 or 11 in 2026 – and applications are now open.
The college is looking for talented, driven individuals who want more than just a good education – they want leaders who will inspire, achieve, and thrive.
Sport at The Geelong College is serious business, but never at the expense of wellbeing or balance. Athletes compete in the prestigious APS competition, supported by highly qualified coaches who understand true success goes beyond the scoreboard.
Director of Football and Head of Performance Pathways Nathan Brown, leads a unique program that builds a full support network around student athletes, working closely with their families, personal coaches, and academic staff.

“Our goal is to simplify the chaos,” Nathan said.
“We want students to love what they do, stay grounded, and perform at their best. Sport is just one part of their bigger journey.”
And it’s not just sport where excellence is celebrated.
The College’s Performing Arts program offers dance, drama, and theatre studies to VCE level, with vibrant opportunities ranging from concerts to full-scale productions at the Geelong Arts Centre. The Performing Arts Centre is alive with creativity, nurturing students into confident, expressive performers who light up the stage.
Debating is another pillar of College life. Teams consistently compete in the DAV competition and other state-wide events, developing sharp thinkers and eloquent speakers ready to challenge ideas and shape the future.
Pegasus Scholarships aren’t just about recognising talent – they’re about opening doors. They’re an equity-based opportunity to join a community where passions are nurtured, leadership is developed, and excellence is pursued with heart.

“We’re not just after winners,” Nathan said.
“We’re after students who have the drive, resilience, and character to succeed both in their passions and beyond.
“If they can take the lessons they learn here and become not just great athletes, performers, or debaters, but great people, that’s real success.”
