Dr Lakkaraju uses a toolbox of treatments to manage most venous conditions including ultrasound-guided sclerosent treatments (sclerotherapy), laser, radiofrequency, and glue ablation. Spider veins and blue veins can also be managed in a similar way.

“Venous disease needs to be accurately assessed and a personalised management plan needs to be drawn up to get the most benefit and longevity,” Dr Lakkaraju said.

“We do this in a single consultation using a detailed ultrasound assessment that I perform at the consultation.

The patient is presented with a personalised management plan, the appointments necessary to complete the treatment, and a financial disclosure so that the patient can make an informed decision both clinically and financially.

“We have the medical and allied health expertise to help assess swollen legs and lymphatic conditions in a private, outpatient facility.”

In addition to his proficiency in treating venous diseases, Dr Lakkaraju specialises in managing chronic pain conditions.

 

This encompasses back and neck pain, musculoskeletal problems, tendon and joint diseases, and conditions such as trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, joint-based disorders, and foot pain, all of which can be addressed with image-guided therapies.

The clinic further provides treatments for neck and jaw-related headaches using precise injections.

Apart from performing the whole gamut of cortisone injections to the spine and periphery using image-guided methods, Dr Lakkaraju also uses image-guided ortho-biologic treatments such as prolotherapy, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and laser treatments that enhance the body’s healing potential.
