A touch of Americana comes to QMF
Nathan Seeckts is a powerful singer songwriter and performer who effortlessly fuses the sounds of Americana, folk, country and blues into songs that feature intricate storytelling and heartfelt narratives.
Inspired by artists such as Paul Kelly, Jason Isbell, Steve Earle and Bruce Springsteen, Nathan’s songs echo loudly from personal experience.
Seeckts has spent his career captivating and enchanting audiences across Australia and North America, with his ability to craft intricate and relatable stories of both love and loss.
His combination of contemporary folk storytelling and his commanding and indelible voice make him a standout artist within the Australian Americana music scene.
Seeckts has released several highly acclaimed EPs, honing his skills both in the studio and across Australia and North America, performing his own shows and supporting Australian artists.
The Teskey Brothers, Archie Roach, You Am I, Tex Perkins, Cash Savage and Raised by Eagles join an international resume including Joe Pug, Big Country, Courtney Marie Andrews and Deer Tick.
This year Seeckts was invited to perform at the Queenscliff Music Festival (November 24 -25) for the first time and said it was an honour.
“I’m honoured to have been asked to play at this year’s Queenscliff Music Festival. Sean and I will be playing as a duo over the weekend and can’t wait to tear it up,” he said.
Audiences can expect to hear Nathan, accompanied by Sean McDonnell on electric/slide guitar, showcase tracks from his first full length LP, The Heart of The City, which is scheduled for release in early 2019.
