Frank Camorra has teamed up with this year’s Great Ocean Road Running Festival to dish up delicious Spanish Tapas to participants and locals, the executive chef will host the special lunch at the Lorne Hotel May 20 as part of the weekend’s festivities.

HUNGRY participants in this year’s Great Ocean Road Running Festival (GORRF) will say hola to a delicious array of Spanish tapas during final day festivities.

The annual GORRF event on May 19-20 showcases the best of the coast’s scenic views across seven events ranging from a 1.5km Kids’ Gallop to a 60km Ultra Marathon; this year the festival has teamed up with executive chef and co-owner of MoVida restaurants Frank Camorra who will dish up the special lunch May 20 at the Lorne Hotel.

With four restaurants, a bar and 21 cookbooks to his name, Frank Camorra said he was looking forward to sharing his love of Spanish cuisine.

“I can’t wait to head down the Great Ocean Road and join festival-goers in Lorne, a region that is close to my heart having spent time growing up in Geelong,” Mr Camorra said.

“Capturing views of the stunning coastline from the Lorne Hotel, I will prepare a menu that offers a taste of my homeland as I continue with my mission to share my passion for Spanish food.

“I will be dishing up high-quality fresh ingredients, starting with Comida followed by Arroz Caldoso, then seafood wet rice accompanied by iceberg salad and breads.”

The scenic Great Ocean Road Walk (5km and 10km loop circuit) is also happening on Sunday where participants have the rare opportunity to walk the coastline from Lorne without traffic.

Over the event weekend there will be official hubs for music, film and wellness as part of the Lorne Passport that is available to participants.

With only limited spaces available for the Frank Camorra hosted lunch, attendees are encouraged to book to avoid missing out- vegetarian options are available, and children can order from the kid’s menu in the Bistro.

Tickets to the lunch are $30 per person for participants and $45 per person for all others, to book now or for more info visit greatoceanroadrunfest.com.au.
