ACTING UP IN TORQUAY
The stage and screen veteran volunteered his time to work with 22 TTT regulars and newcomers on character development, script analysis, voice production and acting skills.
As a natural comedian, Harrington recounted anecdotes from his time on sets for Neighbours, Sea Change, Underbelly, and The Dish.
His research and physical preparation, including losing 15 kilograms for the role of Cliff Young in Cliffy, illustrated the effort and mindset required to “become the character”. Workshop participants were challenged to explore character analysis and development, and put into practice new or developed skills in short vignettes.
Workshop participants will be eager to try some of the learned techniques when rehearsals start for TTT’s May production of All Things Considered.
Stay tuned for more information regarding ticket sales.
TTT thanked Kevin for his generosity and time.
Renowned Australian actor and drama coach Kevin Harrington is ready for his close up with Lydia Mackie at a workshop he conducted for the Torquay Theatre Troupe (TTT) on Saturday.
