Aireys locks in 2025 lineup
A BUMPER lineup has been locked in for the 19th edition of the Aireys Inlet Music Festival.
The event, from March 14 to March 16, will feature a diverse range of acts across different genres of music.
Indigenous Australian singer songwriter Kutcha Edwards will headline the festival.
The 60-year-old R&B/soul artist is a multiple time Music Victoria Awards winner, 2023 Hall of Fame member and Melbourne Prize for Music recipient.
Edwards, a member of the Stolen Generation, began his music career in 1991 as a member of the band Watbalimba. He joined the band Blackfire later in the 1990s.
He has released five studio albums, his latest Circling Time in 2021.
Joining Edwards at Aireys Inlet will be Australian/American blues artist C.W Stoneking, Melbourne singer Queenie, Hana & Jesse Lee’s Bad Habits, Owelu Dreamhouse, The Counterfeit, Cool Out Sun, The Casanovas and Ben Mastwyk and his Millions.
The Surf Coast region will also be showcased, with The Vasco Era, Indie Wylie, the Repores and the The Reef Ratswill on the bill.
Kind Canoe, BABBA and Tendrils will also feature.
The weekend will be held acrossr five venues in town including the Aireys Pub, The Lighthouse Café and Sunnymead Hotel.
Festival creative director Patrick Donovan said the team could not wait to deliver the 2025 event.
“This festival pulls together the best of the coastal community spirit, an incredibly broad mix of talented artists and the rugged beauty of the Surf Coast.
“To provide such an experience to music lovers, all for $80 over three days is a credit to the town, the volunteers, and our funding partners, Music Victoria.”
