AUSSIE musician and ARIA Award winner Conrad Sewell is making his way around the country for the 10th anniversary acoustic tour of his 2014 single Firestone.

Backed by overwhelming demand, last week he added an additional 13 shows to his tour, including a performance in Geelong on July 4.

Sewell said the first run of his tour has been a lot of fun and the connection with his fans has been on another level.

“I’m very grateful that I get to do this with people from all corners of our country.

“The crowds were so fun, I’ve never seen so much dancing around for an acoustic set.

“One of my favourite parts of every show is heading over to the merch table after every show to meet those who chose to spend their Friday or Saturday night with me.”

Firestone was Sewell’s first official solo endeavour which saw him team up with Norwegian DJ Kygo, the track went on to generate more than 1 billion streams on Spotify.

The release catapulted him onto the music scene where he went on to release two studio albums, tour the globe and top the charts with his 2015 hit Star Again and was awarded an ARIA Music Award for Song of the Year.

The musician has also played at arenas opening for the likes of Ed Sheeran, Maroon 5 and Jess Gylynne.

While he makes his way around the country in celebration of the song that started it all, Sewell’s shows are a chance for him to reflect and connect with why he’s doing it.

“With these regional tours, what’s excited me most is connecting with the fans singing these songs in a stripped back way,” he said.

“I’m excited to play these songs of mine in a way that I’ve never had the chance to.

“A lot of them were written acoustically, so to be able to strip them back to their essence feels awesome.”

As Sewell looks to the future, new music is on the horizon featuring collaborations with artists from dance music, hip-hop and more.

Sewell will perform at Eurka Hotel alongside special guest René Le Feuvre when he takes the stage in Geelong.
