Arts trail launched at 360Q

December 4, 2017 BY

The Launch of the 2017 Bellarine Arts Trail at the 360Q restaurant in Queenscliff was a great success last Friday night. More than 100 people were in attendance, including many of the participating artists, business owners, local councillors and members of the team from Geelong Tourism.

The event was launched by world renowned local artist Robert Ingpen, who is also participating in the trail with his own exhibition at Salt Gallery in Queenscliff.

Bellarine Arts Trail coordinator Karen Shirley said there was “a real buzz of excitement in the air on the night as many of the artists are participating in their first arts trail”.

“They’ve all been preparing for many months and are looking forward to welcoming visitors into their studios and group venues next weekend.”

Barwon Heads Arts Council president Victoria Strachan welcomed everyone to the launch and thanked all the artists, participating businesses and sponsors, including City of Greater Geelong, Borough of Queenscliff council, LogoZoo who designed the maps, and Fleetwood Print Group.

The Bellarine Arts Trail is on this weekend, November 4-5, and organisers are expecting a big turn out and hope that everyone enjoys the experience.
