VICTORIAN game hunters looking for information about bag limits, season dates and safe and responsible hunting will be well informed with the recently released Victorian Hunting Guide.
The guide, which is posted online and mailed out to all 48,000 licensed game hunters, covers updates to hunting arrangements for the 2016 seasons.
This year, bag limits have been reduced for duck season – eight birds can be taken on opening day, 19 March, and four birds per day after that, while the Blue-Winged Shoveler cannot be hunted.

The guide is available now on the GMA website at gma.vic.gov.au and will be mailed to all licensed game hunters in the coming weeks.
Hard copies of the guide will become available from selected Game Management Authority, Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources The Game Hunting Victoria smart phone application will also be updated with the latest hunting information shortly.
