Basils’ beautiful blue views

December 7, 2017 BY

If festival-goers are looking for a change of scenery over the Queenscliff Music Festival weekend, they can take a small drive down the road to experience some of the best views on the Bellarine at Basils Farm.

Basils Farm’s vineyards, cafe and cellar door are located on the shores of Swan Bay, only a 10-minute drive from Queenscliff.

This picturesque location invites guests to share a bottle of wine and a seasonal platter with family and friends.

Expansive lawns provide the perfect place to relax as diners and drinkers take in the stunning views.

Basils Café uses its own farm-grown and locally sourced produce to create a monthly seasonal menu. Indulge in gourmet grazing platters and a selection of savoury and sweet house made seasonal dishes from Basils Café.

Breakfast is available over the weekend from 8am-11am. From Wednesday to Friday, Basils Café also offer a “Locals Lunch” special where diners can have a main meal plus a glass of wine for $30.

Visit the cellar door to learn more about the Basils team’s passion for wild fermented wines and enjoy tastings of handcrafted varietals, including Prosecco, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Rose, Pinot Noir and Shiraz.

Guests large and small can enjoy exploring the extensive potager garden and visit the farm animals, including llamas, baby doll sheep, chickens and ducks.

Basils Farm is open Wednesday and Thursday 9-3pm and Friday 9-5pm. Weekends from 8am-5pm. Head to basilsfarm.com.au or phone 5258 4280 for more information.
