Beatles’ giveaway songs to star in show
LOCAL performer and historian Colin Mockett will return to the stage next month to detail some of the hit singles two of The Beatles wrote but the band never used.
Morning Showtime: Songs The Beatles Gave Away will be performed at the Potato Shed on September 10.
The show will explain the songwriting prowess of the biggest group in the world, and feature songs written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney for artists such as PJ Proby, Peter and Gordon, Billy J. Kramer and the Dakotas.
Mockett will present the narration and story behind each hit, before it is performed live by musician Adam Parsons and singer Reyna Hudgell.
The show will begin at 10:30am.
Tickets are $20 and include morning tea.
