Bikram Yoga goes Upstate

April 7, 2016 BY

Geelong and Torquay’s Bikram Yoga studios are undergoing a transformation and will relaunch this month as Upstate Yoga.
Due to the studios’ quick expansion, sisters and business partners Gail Asbell and Charelle Cuolahan found the name Bikram Yoga no longer reflected all it has to offer.
Now known as Upstate Yoga, the studios are still all about creating a positive state of mind through yoga, connection and positivity.
In just seven years, the business has expanded to include two locations, an athletic apparel store and a wide range of yoga and Pilates classes.
Upstate Yoga will have the same great teachers, diversity of classes and friendly welcoming atmosphere, but with a new look and name to give a glimpse of its personality and better explain what is on offer.
“Grounded in yoga we know that physical and mental wellbeing greatly affects the way you think, feel and live,” Ms Asbell said.
“Whether you need to power up or let go we have expanded the diversity of our classes to meet the complex needs of your body and mind.
“It’s about more than just a yoga class; it’s creating a lifestyle you love. It’s about challenging yourself, whilst also getting quiet right here, right now to empower yourself to live loud and stretch into your full potential.”
Upstate Yoga is holding an “Open House Weekend” and launch on April 16 and 17, offering free classes all weekend in their Geelong and Torquay studios, featuring special offers, goodie bags and prizes including a 12-month membership valued at $1,300.
Bookings for classes are recommended. A free Lululemon “Find Your Upstate” goal-setting workshop will be held on Saturday at 10.30am at the Geelong Studio, bookings are required.
