Celebrating the season at Barwarre

April 7, 2016 BY

THE general public is invited to join residents of Barwarre Gardens Retirement Village on Saturday April 16 from 11am-2pm in celebrating the autumn season.
With milder, steadier weather conditions compared to other seasons, autumn is a popular time to go walking, camping and enjoying being outside.
Open day guests can enjoy free information sessions on retirement village living, a free lunch, giveaways and live entertainment while strolling through the new community centre and display homes which will be open for inspection on the day.
“Autumn is a beautiful season and has such stable weather, it’s perfect for getting outside and enjoying ourselves before the cold of winter arrives,”
Barwarre Gardens village manager Sue Duncan said.
Renowned local artist Amanda Blake-Sutterby will be showcasing her deep appreciation of nature in an exhibition at Barwarre Gardens Retirement Village from April 13-19.
“We are excited to have Amanda exhibit here at the village. Her work with the Australian landscape and nature is really lovely,” Sue said.
The exhibition, titled Gifts of Nature, will be launched on Wednesday April 13 at 2pm in the Barwarre Gardens Retirement Village Community Centre and will form part of the open day celebrations.
The general public is welcome to attend. The retirement village, developed and built by local community services organisation Karingal, is conveniently located close to Geelong and many local services.
Eleven homes have been sold in stage four, which was recently released with stage three almost sold out.
With five floor plans to choose from, secure your brand new home while the temperatures are mild, as the heat of summer has past and the chill of winter has yet to arrive.
