Closing out the year at the Potato Shed

ENTERTAINMENT is the name of the game at the Potato Shed, and as the last quarter of the year arrives, there are some terrific shows lined up to keep audiences delighted and enthralled.
The Dusty Springfield and Connie Francis Show with special guest Issi Dye, set for 8pm on Saturday, October 4, celebrates three giants of popular music. Lyndal Anderson breathes life into the hits of Dusty and Connie, and special guest Issi Dye will pay homage to the “King of Cool”, Mr Dean Martin.
On Friday, October 10 at 8pm, Delsinki (Sing a Song of Sixpence) brings an all-star band to the shed to honour one of America’s greatest artists, Tom Waits, with Ten Years of Tom.
An Afternoon of A’Capella, presented by the award-winning Geelong Harmony Choir, will lift spirits at 2pm on Sunday, October 19, and bring great cheer to the weekend. A delicious afternoon tea is included.
The Spookfest! Family Fun Day will return on Sunday, October 26 between 11am and 3pm, with a new format. The Mik Maks will be the star attraction and the program will feature lots of workshops and activities for the best Halloween on the Bellarine.

Uplifting, ethereal, memorable, the Geelong Welsh Ladies Choir will help celebrate Christmas on Sunday, December 7 from 2pm.
Over the past 12 years, more than 150 short plays have been showcased at Theatre 3triple2’s annual celebration of short plays.
This year is no different, with 12×12 Plays landing at the Potato Shed on Friday, December 12 at 7.30pm, and Saturday, December 13 at both 2pm and 7.30pm.
The annual Christmas at the Shed is a great way to unwind before the silly season.
Enjoy sing-along carols, fun games and a family friendly movie on Friday, December 19 at 6pm. Hot tip: Santa will drop in.

The hugely popular Morning Showtime Shows for October, November and December will get you into the swing of the silly season.
From 10.30am on Tuesday, October 7, Tony Jones will celebrate one of the greats in the Tom Jones Story.
The follow up to last year’s smash hit The History of Rock & Roll, Rockin’ All Over the World will explore the changing face of pop music, with All Shook Up supplying the tunes at Tuesday, November 25 from 10.30am.
Then, Mr Entertainment will return for a sing-along with Issi Dye for a special Christmas show on Tuesday, December 2 at 10.30am.
