March 24, 2016 BY

The Aireys Inlet Open Mic Festival Special Mystery Guests were revealed on Sunday night, with Ella Hooper, and Vika and Linda Bull fronting the RocKwiz Orchestra featuring Brian Nankervis at the Aireys Pub. Hooper famously led Killing Heidi and now performs in collaborative and solo projects, and the Bull sister are known across the nation for their stunning vocal talents. The Special Mystery Guest is the highlight of the annual festival, which was held at venues across Aireys Inlet from March 18-20. Festival director Marty Maher has called it their “best festival yet”, with impressive crowds, quality performers and an uplifting vibe at all participating venues across the town. “It was phenomenal. We had more than 2,000 people come through across the event and we’re just so pleased with how every aspect went.
There wasn’t a single patch of grass free when Ella and the Bull sisters came on stage. It was amazing to see so many people there, singing and dancing and clapping along. We knew after having the Hoodoo Gurus last year we had to go for something completely different, and this was perfect. Everyone had an incredible time.”
