IT HAS been an incredible year since Kylie J Pole Torquay opened its doors, bringing the art of pole dancing to the Surf Coast.

To celebrate the new studio’s first birthday, Kylie J Pole Torquay is inviting the local community to an open day, where they can experience firsthand why pole fitness has become the beloved sport of choice for so many.

A year ago, two local women set out to bring something fresh, exciting, and inspiring to Torquay. Kylie Just and Ina Steinnes Gianello wanted to create a space where people of all backgrounds, ages, and fitness levels could discover community and fun through pole dancing.

That dream became a reality when Kylie J Pole Torquay opened its doors. Now, twelve months on, the studio has built a loyal following.

Walking into their studio space, the first thing that strikes customers is the beautiful, open space accompanied by high ceilings, a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

It’s the ultimate place to train and enjoy some high quality “me-time.” The studio offers classes focusing on tricks and choreography, as well as more niche classes like burlesque, and even roller pole.

Pole dancing is a full-body workout that builds strength, flexibility, and confidence like no other. Pole fitness challenges participants in the best way possible, sculpting lean muscle, improving posture, and increasing flexibility. Studies show it’s one of the most effective ways to develop core strength, all while having an absolute blast.

“We are passionate about this topic,” Ina said.

“Lean muscle improves your hormones, your metabolism and even bone density.”

Does this mean pole dancing is only for athletes and gymnasts? Of course not, there are no prerequisites to taking that first class.

Their upcoming Open Day on April 5 is all about giving it a go in a relaxed, judgment-free environment.

“We cater to all levels, so whether you’re curious about trying your first spin or looking to refine advanced tricks, there’s a class for you,”Kylie said.

“Beginners build strength as they go, you do not need to be strong to start.

“Quality instruction makes all the difference, and that’s where we shine.”

Kylie has been part of the Australian Pole scene since its conception in 2004. The Torquay studio is the little sister of Kylie J Pole Geelong, which has become an industry heavy-weight in the wider pole community, with multiple national champions and renowned dancers on their roster.

The local community is invited to attend the Kylie J Pole Torquay open day in April to experience the sport first hand.

“Every teacher is highly skilled, passionate, and focused on making sure each student feels supported. There’s no pressure to be perfect, just to try, progress, and enjoy the process”.

Join Kylie, Ina and the team at their Open Day and discover why pole dance is so much more than just a workout—it’s an experience.

Head down and see what makes the apace so special, whether curious about pole or just want to try something, this is the perfect opportunity, bring a friend, meet the instructors, and see why the community loves it.

The open day runs from 10am until 6pm at 12/10 Cylinders Drive,Torquay.
