Experts take to the tracks for Meet the Maker sessions

May 9, 2018 BY

The Q Train’s philosophy to showcase the best of the region will come into full view during their Meet the Maker sessions running throughout May.

A series of four events will see the region’s best brewers and wine makers come on board the Q Train to pair products with the train’s award-winning six-course degustation menu.

Diners will be privy to discussions surrounding pairing choices as well as the beer- and wine-making process and any questions they may have answered by experts.

Prickly Moses will take to the tracks on May 11 for an evening with head brewer Luke Scott.

The crew will open the Q Class Bar and Dining car for the unique beer tasting event.

During the night, you will enjoy the award-winning degustation menu alongside six specially chosen beers from the Prickly Moses’ range.

As an extra treat, the sixth beer offered for tasting will be The Q Train’s Rail Ale with train manager Daniel Trotter to discuss the process behind designing and brewing the trains own specialty brew.

On Friday May 18 Marie from Terindah Estate will board The Q Train for a unique wine tasting event.

During the night, six specifically chosen wines from Terindah Estate’s range will be paired with the menu.

Marie will discuss the food and wine parings and the different styles of wine that Terindah specialises in.

The final Meet the Makers session will feature Russell and Jan from McGlashan’s winery on Friday May 25.

Tickets for the events are $139 per person and include a six-course degustation menu and six beer tastings/six wine tastings.
