Parma for a farmer
For the month of August, the Frontbeach Taphouse & Restaurant has joined the Parma for a Farmer campaign. They will be donating $1 from every parmigiana to assist drought relief for Australian farmers and the ‘Buy and Bale’ campaign. Farmers in regional New South Wales and Australia’s east have been hit by a major drought, with the federal government stepping in to announce a $190 million relief package. Torquay parkrun turns one
Torquay parkrun turns one this Saturday and is inviting you to get up bright and early to join in the festivities. The beach party parkrun celebrations will see runners don their beachiest attire for cake, fun and frivolity kicking off from 7.30am at Fishermans Beach. Kate Patterson from Torquay parkrun said the event is a free weekly timed 5km event for runners, joggers and walkers; the event has become a regular start to the weekend for many Torquay residents.
