Paddle to the long weekend

Before the craziness of the Melbourne Cup long weekend begins, enjoy your Friday night watching the region’s ocean racer, SUP, Prone, Spec ski and Outrigger competitors race in the first of the 2017/2018 Fishos Paddle Series. The event comprises either 5km or 10km distances in six events from November 2017 to April 2018. The cost to participate is $25 per race. The first race of the series is on tomorrow (Friday). Registration for entrants begins at 5pm for a 6.30pm start. Entries for the series closed November 1. For more information, head to webscorer.com/41122.

The second Deans Marsh market is happening this Sunday from 9am–2pm at the Deans Marsh Reserve on Pennyroyal Valley Road. Market visitors can enjoy high quality market stalls, music, kids’ entertainment including craft activities, pony rides and face painting, all while enjoying a feast of gourmet food.
