The party bus is coming

The Drinks Arts Food Torquay event kicks off this Friday with the Bells Beach Brewing Bus shuttling partygoers between three venues. For $30 or for those who have already purchased a ticket to the Torquay Celebration Lunch, lifts will be running between The Cave, Ginger Monkey and Torquay Surf Life Saving Club. Live music and a DJ playing dance music will be going off with wood fired pizzas and a hot dog van available. Your ticket will purchase you unlimited rides with the bus finishing at the Torquay Surf Life Saving Club at midnight. For a 7pm start at either The Cave in Jan Juc or Ginger Monkey in Torquay. HOPE art exhibition opens

The HOPE art exhibition and art competition at Eagles Nest Gallery Aireys Inlet opens this Saturday as part of Art of the Minds celebrations for mental health week. David Turnbull from Mental Health Foundation Australia will open the works by a diverse range of local artists who manage their mental wellbeing through the arts. The opening will run from 3-5pm with official awards and presentations also announced. The exhibition will be on display at the Eagles Nest Gallery 50 Great Ocean Road Aireys Inlet from October 7-20. Geelong Harmony Sing into Spring concert

Geelong Harmony is preparing to once again participate in Geelong’s Seniors Festival with their Sing into Spring concert at the Potato Shed Drysdale on Sunday 8 from 2-4 pm. The show will feature cappella harmonies from Geelong Harmony Chorus and Around the Blend and Cadence quartets. Ember trio, consisting of Chelsie Demajo (vocals), Nina Denham (cello) and Mitch Rice (keyboard) will also perform from their repertoire of jazz influenced covers. Tickets for the Sing into Spring concert are available from the Potato Shed and City of Greater Geelong customer service centres or you can buy them over the phone by credit card by phoning 5251 1998. Prices are $22 Seniors $15 concession $18 and children $12.
