Summer sounds at sunset

Basils Farm will open for dinner this Friday night for the second of the Summer Twilight dinners. The Basils Burner smoker will be fired up and offering guests a delicious American style barbecue feast, while kid’s favourites and a selection of house-made cakes and sweet treats are also available. For some fun, challenge friends to a Finska match on the lawn or a game of giant Jenga, or bocce. Local musicians will perform acoustic sets from 5.30pm-8.30pm, dinner seating times are from 6pm-7.30pm, with the evening ending at 9pm. A tranquil time this Saturday

Ocean Grove’s annual Tranquility Fair at Ocean Grove Park has moved to a new evening format and taken on the new name of Tranquility@Twilight this year. After being postponed due to extreme weather conditions, Tranqulity@Twilight 2018 will be held this Saturday between 4pm and 9pm. This year’s event will feature more than 100 stalls, rides, musical entertainment, food and activities for all ages. All proceeds from Tranquility@Twilight will go to maintaining the park. Entry for a full evening of fun and entertainment is only $4 per person – children under 16 admitted free with a smile.

A market of makers

Holidaymakers to the Surf Coast region have an opportunity to meet local producers, artists and creators of unique handmade products at the Aireys Inlet Market this summer. All stalls offer authentic homegrown, handmade, recycled, vintage and local items, promising an eclectic mix of products ranging from local farm produce and delicious treats, to bespoke wooden crafts, original artwork, eco-friendly homewares, unique jewellery, vintage clothing, baby gear, ceramics, designer gumboots, books, bags, photographs of the Surf Coast and more.
