THE 2025 Festival of Sails is just around the corner and it promises to be bigger and better than ever.

From January 25 to January 27, the Geelong Waterfront will come alive with thrilling sailing action, live music, family-friendly activities, and delicious food and it’s all completely free.

The Festival of Sails is more than just sailing. With more than 300 yachts racing on Corio Bay, it is a celebration of everything that makes Geelong unique.

Whether festivalgoers are local or just visiting, the event offers something for everyone, including the live music offerings.

Rock out with Perth’s Southern River Band, sing along to the hits of Queen with tribute legends Queen Forever, or enjoy the soothing sounds of Freya Josephine Hollick.

For the kids, and those young at heart, the Mik Maks will perform high-energy, family-friendly tunes to get everyone dancing.

This year’s program is packed with exciting experiences:

  • Regatta Cruise – hop aboard the ticketed Regatta Cruise on January 25 for front row seats to the thrilling Melbourne to Geelong Passage Race finish
  • RAAF Aerial Show – watch in awe as the RAAF Roulettes soar through the sky
  • Paddock on the Bay – hosted by Paddock Bakery, this lively spot offers the best local food, drinks, and live music at Fairnie Park
