Flavour country at the end of the taste trail

The Queenscliff Brewhouse launched their new Regional Tasting Room last week offering tastings and produce from the Bellarine, Otway and Moorabool taste trails.

Function and event coordinator Deb Murray said it was a fantastic turn out with over 40 local tourism, council and business representatives enjoying local beer, wine and food products.

“People were excited about the concept we were putting together and many didn’t realise the scope of what we’re looking at stocking,” Deb said.

“Ultimately the plan is to have something from all three regions so it’s very much an experience destination.”

The crowds enjoyed a selection of canapés that showcased produce with live music provided by local musician Alister Turril.

“The feedback we got was that it was a beautiful space with a great display of stock,” Deb said.

“Every Friday between 5-6pm, we’re going to have free sampling of local produce and will also have beer paddles, wine tasting and tasting boards seven days a week.”

She said customers will also be able to enjoy their microbrewery offering bookings for small groups to partake in their own brew day.

“Alongside our signature Prickly Moses beers, we stock over 200 of the finest local Australian and international craft beers.

“We have such a large range of local products to try in house or to purchase and take-away with you, it’s a fantastic culinary journey.

“From locally produced honey and cheese to reared meat specialities and a huge range of jams and preserves, you’re bound to find a lot to like.”

In addition to the Regional Tasting Room the Queenscliff Brewhouse will also be serving breakfast lunch and dinner seven days a week.
