Owner Paul Rodaughan said as their members have increased, so too the wealth of experience available via their trainers.

“The club now has several personal trainers and a qualified exercise physiologist on-site. These guys are a really important part of what we offer to our members. Every new member is offered a personalised exercise program at no cost when they join our club,” he said.

“The trainers also take the member through all the exercises on the program. Not every club offers this, but we always have as it’s great to get a membership however it’s another thing to figure out what to do next.”

Mr Rodaughan, who also owns Anytime Fitness in Grovedale said the Torquay location is large with state-of-the-art equipment and a heavy focus on creating a friendly environment for everyone regardless of their fitness needs.

“One of the biggest misconceptions that people tend to have, is that everyone in the gym is already fit. That’s far from the truth with most people starting out far from where they would like to be at,” he said.

“We have had countless numbers of people lose large amounts of weight with the highest I have seen so far being more than 100kg. Obviously, this is not just about weight loss because you witness how it changes their entire life.

“That’s what gives us the biggest buzz. It doesn’t matter about your age or your current fitness level. It’s never too late to make the change.”

Being a 24/7-hour gym the minimum age for membership is 16, locals can trial the gym for free simply by calling in or phoning 5264 6512 to arrange a tour.
