GET READY FOR GABF
Excitement has been brewing for months and it’s finally time to plan your day at the Great Australian Beer Festival (GABF), set to take place this weekend.
Brewers and beer lovers will come from near and far to experience more than 200 of the best local and imported beers, along with a host of other exciting events and activities on offer. The timetable is out for a series of seminars that will be held at the event, kicking off with Meet the Local Brewer at 12.30pm, followed by:
1.15pm – Homebrew to Commercial Brewer, 2.15pm – Beer and Cheese Please!
3.30pm – Taste and Appreciate Beer, and 4.30pm Beer and Cheese Please!
Attendance at the seminars is limited and free (once a ticket to the festival has been purchased).
All attendees must have seminar tickets, which are available 30 minutes prior to each seminar from the information desk.
There will be plenty more entertainment on the day including live music, comedy and theatrics, a photography exhibition and competition, pop-up restaurants and food vans and kids entertainment and activities. Organisers are urging those attending to travel safely, and buses will be running to and from the festival approximately every 15 minutes from South Geelong Station, starting at 11.45am.
There will be a $2 fee each way to utilise the bus service and there will be an optional drop off in the Geelong CBD after 7pm only.
GABF is on Saturday February 6 at Geelong Race Course, for tickets and more information, head to gabf.com.au.
