Geelong locals are to brace for a full night of belly-laughs when multi award winning South African-New Zealander Urzila Carlson strolls into town.

For one night only on Sunday, November 5, Urzila Carlson will bring her sold out metro tour Just No! to Costa Hall to discover and discuss all the frustrations which somehow bring people together.

Urzila addresses it isn’t sport, not love and not peace which brings people closer, but ultimately those who do wrong and get on our nerves who really unify us.

Over the past decade, Urzila has become one of Australia and New Zealand’s biggest names in comedy and has won the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Peoples Choice Award for most tickets sold in 2019, 2022 and 2023.

She is also a much-loved staple on Ten’s smash hit panel show Have You Been Paying Attention and has garnered a legion of fans worldwide for her one hour-long comedy special Overqualified Loser on Netflix which was released in 190 countries.

Geelong Arts Centre Director of Production and Presenter Services, Angelique Helman said Urzila’s imminent performance would complement a dazzling lineup of artists who are coming to Geelong in 2023.

“The Geelong Arts Centre is thrilled to continue to lead and connect the G21 region with internationally acclaimed talent, right here in the creative heart of Geelong.

“We are delighted to welcome the incredibly witty Urzila Carlson to Costa Hall for a warm evening of comedic brilliance.

“We are committed to delivering exceptional services, facilitating seamless event experiences, and ensuring our theatres continue to serve as must play venues for international and national performers.”

Just No! will be a 90-minute show with no intervals.

The show is recommended for audiences of 15+.
