Kieser on the move to support a stronger Torquay
AFTER six successful years on the Surf Coast Highway, Kieser is moving its Torquay physiotherapy, rehabilitation and strength training clinic to a new, spacious location, just 100 metres away on Geelong Road.
“The relocation reflects the growth of Kieser in Torquay and the rising awareness of the benefits of strength focused activities for enhancing physical health and longevity,” Torquay local, Kieser partner and physiotherapist Caity Hickey said.
Clinic leader Brodie Leishman said the move would create opportunities for more people in the local community to improve their health through strength.
“Our mission is to build a stronger Australia and this relocation allows us to welcome more members and expand our strength training services to accommodate the needs of the growing Torquay community.”
The new clinic features a training floor nearly three times larger than the previous location, accommodating 20 additional Kieser machines. The location also has more than 20 dedicated parking spaces, additional private treatment rooms and a larger multipurpose room designed for Exercise Physiology programs and group classes.
Curious about Kieser but not sure what it’s all about?
Many may have heard someone mention Kieser, know someone who has received treatment, but are still unsure of what it involves. Kieser combines key principles of health and exercise science with hands-on physiotherapy and machine-based strength training.
The team at Kieser are university qualified health professionals, including physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and exercise scientists who work with clients to develop personalised strength and conditioning programs. These programs are tailored to help clients achieve their health goals, whether it’s managing injuries, reducing pain, improving sports performance, or making everyday activities easier.
Kieser offers a unique experience compared to a traditional gym or physiotherapy setting. The science-based approach to strength training incorporates the use of Swiss-engineered strength and conditioning machines exclusive to Kieser. The clinic is a welcoming and inclusive training space full of people of all ages and fitness levels. The clinic environment is bright, clean and distraction-free with no mirrors, loud music or clutter to promote focused training.
For those new to strength training, it’s normal to feel uncertain, especially if managing joint or muscle pain. Kieser machines are engineered to isolate and guide individual muscle groups, providing a safe and effective way to build strength. With a program requiring just two 30-minute sessions per week, Kieser offers an efficient and accessible training option for even the busiest schedules.
