February 9, 2018 BY

Music Crawl artist Gallie, from Ocean Grove, will be performing during the third Victorian Music Crawl running from February 9-11 showcasing a variety of artists, venues and sites in the region.

The third instalment of the Victorian Music Crawl will run from February 9-11 across Birregurra, Port Fairy, Tarerer, Warrnambool, Lorne, Airey’s Inlet, Anglesea, Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale, Ocean Grove and Geelong, with a range of activities and performances planned for each destination.

A delegation of Victoria’s leading booking agents, managers, artists, media and peak body representatives will travel from Melbourne to connect with industry peers in Victoria’s Barwon South West region.

The Victorian Music Crawl is a state government initiative led by the state’s peak body for contemporary music, Music Victoria.

Minister for Creative Industries Martin Foley said the intiative made sense in Victoria.

“With Melbourne already internationally recognised as Australia’s live music capital, the Victorian Music Crawl will showcase the music opportunities on offer outside our city limits.

“The state government is proud to support this program, which will strengthen local job opportunities, help fill venues, drive regional tourism and ensure that our contemporary music credentials spread across the state.”

The tour will feature local live performances, showcase leading regional music venues and festival sites, and connect local artists, industry and councils, bringing together the best minds in music from all over Victoria.

A host of local and visiting artists, representing diversity of age, gender and genre will include performances spanning rock, pop, folk, soul and blues over the various sites on the tour.

Tomorrow (Friday), the Music Crawl will be in Birregurra, Port Fairy, Tarerer (Tower Hill Volcano), and Warrnambool.

On Saturday, it will be at the Lorne Hotel, Aireys Pub (Aireys Inlet), Anglesea Hotel, Geelong (Barwon Club Hotel), and Queenscliff (The Blues Train and Queenscliff Brewhouse).

On Sunday, the Crawl will be at Point Lonsdale, Piping Hot Chicken Shop (Ocean Grove), and Geelong (Beavs Bar, Pistol Pete’s Food ‘N’ Blues, and The Workers Club).
