New Quay doctor in town

The Quay Family Health Care team is pleased to welcome its newest member, Doctor Herman Mentz, to the practice.

Dr Mentz qualified in 2006 from the University of Pretoria South Africa as a general practitioner and worked for the South African Air Force for two years where he furthered his training in aviation medicine.

After working in a level one trauma hospital in Cape Town he moved to Canada in 2010 and finished his speciality exams with The College of Family Physicians.

After working in Sechelt, BC as a full service family practitioner covering ER, hospitalist and general practice he relocated to Australia.

With interests in occupational health, aviation medicine and skin disorders, Dr Mentz is looking forward to embracing hobbies outside of work including trail running, hiking, and scuba diving and hopes to eventually tackle Torquay’s surf.

With Quay Family Health Care now operating under the extended hours of 8.30am until 6pm Monday to Friday and 10am until 3pm Saturdays, the team looks forward to assisting you with your health needs.
