Angela and Paul Rodaughan know it what it takes to succeed in hospitality and are set to carry on the success of Torquay’s Mejavo’s Café.

The husband and wife duo took over the popular eatery in October and are readying for the peak period offering up some familiar favourites.

“We know that we have big shoes to fill but are ready to take on the challenge.

“It’s been overwhelming the welcome and amount of support we’ve received so far,” Angela said.

“Not only myself but the café staff, it’s such a great feel with regulars and new comers really helping us off to a great start.”

Angela and Paul have been in the hospitality business for years and having run a pub and restaurant previously, understand first-hand the time demands of a cafe.

With three school-aged children the couple have embraced their new business as a family and have fallen in love with the Surf Coast in the process.

Mejavo’s Café will be serving up all the local favourites alongside their everpopular catering with new elements to be added as required.

Angela said the café venture was a fantastic way to combine business with the sea change lifestyle perfect for their young family.

“We love this community and as a business owner what a great opportunity and way to connect and support each other, and what a location to bring up our family.”

The couple and friendly staff look forward to catering Torquay and surrounding towns and are open seven days a week at 2/15 Bristol Road.
