THE Torquay Hotel will turn into a party paradise when electrifying Melbourne dance outfit Northeast Party House comes to town this month.

The six-piece band are launching their fourth studio album Enhancer at the August 10 gig.

Renowned for their intricate melodies, sugary hooks and exhilarating beats, Northeast Party House has been performing on festival stages and selling out headline gigs throughout Australia for the past 10 years.

The band has had multiple ARIA certified tunes including “For You” (Gold), “Calypso Beach” (Platinum) and “Magnify” (Gold), while its Shelf-Life album was nominated for Best Dance Release in 2020.

Guitarist Jack Shoe said excitement was high heading into the band’s first full live show in Torquay.

“We’ve done some DJ events down there before and also put on our own late night cooking club. It’s fair to say the energy has always been amazing.

“We are pretty pumped to be kicking off the tour down there with some old goodies, and some of our new stuff off Enhancer.

“Sean, our keyboardist, has taken charge of directing our new live show and has rejigged a whole lot of stuff. We are keen to try it all out for the first time in Torquay.”

Enhancer promises to be the band’s most diverse release yet.

The title reflects the Melbourne dance hitmakers commitment to creating music that is uplifting and stimulates listeners.

“This new album was created a bit different to usual. Usually, it’s the six of us catching up as much as we can and just going back and forth, but this time we changed it up,” Shoe said.

“We gave more creative license to Zac, our singer, and Sean, our keyboardist, and the two of them just bunkered down in the studio and did most of the writing and production.

“It allowed us to push some new sounds with a more pop and hip-hop influence. Zac also played around with Autotune a bit which has brought with it a really cool sound.

“How it transitions to us live is going to be exciting. It’s feeling a lot more creative than what we’ve done in the past.”

Talented Kiwi act Sachi (NZ) will koining Northeast Party House on the Enhancer tour.

Tickets for the August 10 gig are via Oztix.
