Ocean road makes tourism campaign great

THE Great Ocean Road and 12 Apostles are star acts in the latest Tourism Australia marketing campaign There’s Nothing Like Australia.

Australia’s world-class aquatic and coastal attractions will feature in a bid to attract more international tourists to our shores.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for tourism operators in Corangamite to get involved in the campaign to encourage more international tourists,” Corangamite federal member Sarah Henderson said.

The campaign worth around $40 million comes at a welcome time, “after all the Great Ocean Road communities have endured with the Christmas “Traders in Wye River, Separation Creek, Kennett River and Lorne have suffered a very am hoping will make a real difference.”

Ms Henderson said that Australian actor Chris Hemsworth will add star quality in his role as the voice of the new advert and as the global ambassador for the wider campaign.

The new television commercial was launched on Australia Day during the Australian Open and international cricket broadcasts.

“There are many opportunities for local businesses to help and share in the success of this campaign – by submitting aquatic and coastal videos and photos to be featured in through Tourism Australia’s social media channels or sending new aquatic and coastal story ideas to Tourism Australia.”

Industry can also access new campaign assets from Tourism Australia’s image and video galleries for use in their own marketing activities.
