Retreat Yourself is helping tens of thousands of women find happiness, fulfilment and a sense of wellbeing all over Australia and New Zealand.

Launched in 2015 by founder Kate Buchan, Retreat Yourself is Kate’s answer to life’s all too common problems of stress, anxiety, worry and depression.

The first time she realised a need for a product like this was when she was working in the corporate industry and studying Holistic Nutrition.

After a conversation with a close friend who was booking a holiday at a retreat to de-stress and ground herself, Kate realised that the people around her were living lives they felt a need to ‘escape’ from in order to recuperate.

With so many people booking into physical retreats to relax and restore their connection with themselves, combined with what she saw as a deeply flawed health industry, focused solely on food, fitness and aesthetic changes as a measure of health, Kate saw a need to create a product that meant people didn’t need to ‘escape’ their daily lives to feel whole again.

And so Retreat Yourself was born.

A product that isn’t ‘just’ a product, but a way to deeply transform lives for the better. Boxes of all-Australian wellness products that are helping women find happiness, empowerment, fulfilment and a sense of wellbeing – giving them the benefits of going on a retreat, but within the comfort of their own homes.

From humble beginnings in Kate’s beach shack living room in 2015, Retreat Yourself has since doubled its growth year on year and recently hit a huge milestone of opening its own warehouse in the West Coast Business Park.

Retreat Yourself has now grown to seven full-time staff members and hires more than 20 casual employees each year from within the Surf Coast region.

The Retreat Yourself team is incredibly passionate about showcasing Australian owned businesses inside the boxes.

This means small Australian brands are getting their products into the hands of health conscious consumers, who are looking for businesses just like theirs.

Today, Retreat Yourself boxes are being sent all over Australia and New Zealand, helping countless women on their own personal journeys to feeling better in themselves.
